If you're looking for a brief overview of past MAGIC & WIZARDS releases and sets, you've come to the right place! August '93 saw the release of "MAGIC & WIZARDS", an initial set of cards sold in Starter Decks and Booser Packs. This set included cards like "Call of the Living Dead", "Soul Taker", "Summoned Demon", "Resurrection of the Dead", and the much-sought after "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"! It was a smashing sucess, and we at Industrial Illusions needed 4 print runs totalling some 12 million cards to fully meet player demand! In addition to more initial set reprint runs, 1994 saw the release of 3 new 'Expasion Sets' filled with all-new cards for Duelists to collect: Egyptian Mysteries, March of the Beasts, and Plague of Despair. These sets ushered in a greater variety of Trap Cards, 6 new animalistic Monster Card types, and introduced "Virus Cards" like "Deadly Deck Destruction" to the game. They also kicked off the storyline that ran through the next few sets. 1995 was another big year for us. We released our first Main Set Revision, to give new players a curated pool of past cards from which they could start a solid collection, and began giving out promotional cards to loyal fans who visited our booth at big gaming conventions like Gen Con and Origins. It also saw the release of Beware the Metal Raiders, which saw the introduction of a major arc to the story, and Veil of Illusions, which added "Illusion Cards" to the game and brought out new antagonists. And now we're starting 1996 off with Dawn of Chaos, a main set that both follows up the story where Veil of Illusions left off and introduces "Ritual Magic Cards" to the game! What's more, we've got even bigger twists and turns in store for all Duelists new and old- so stay tuned! The fun has just begun!
